Quick sketching ability for layouts and covers is a handy tool to have, for this project I was given text for the whole book based on Zara Rutherford’s Record Breaking Trip around the world. See link for project below. She had to approve all artworks to a tight schedule so it was key for me to mock up the layout before it went to the illustrator to create and fully realise. The second sample for Knutz and Boltz illustrates sequential comic layouts created by me for the illustrator. The final sample on Letherback turtles, was requested as a visual brief for the illustrator. We wanted an intergrated layout with minimal amends. The illustrator for all 3 examples still brought their flair to the project as you can see in the animations.
